WINE CONCEPT:

Respecting the winemaking tradition of the oldest demarcated region in the world, these wines are produced based on their native varieties. Versatile and gastronomic, they express the freshest side of the Douro.

AGRICULTURE:

It was an atypical year and one with several challenges throughout the cycle. It rained on 1/3 of the days, which resulted in accumulated rainfall 35% higher than the average. The maximum, average and minimum temperature was also higher, with a decrease in cold hours of about 20%. Noteworthy was the month of July, which was extremely hot and dry, accelerating the end of the cycle. These conditions resulted in greater vegetative growth, greater pressure of downy mildew and powdery mildew, a reduction in the number of bunches, and an increase in dehydration of the berries, which together caused a significant reduction in production. We started the harvest earlier than usual, in the case of white grapes on the 17th of August with good concentration, acidity and phenolic ripeness.

MORE INFORMATION:

DOURO - ALTITUDE - FRESHNESS

Near one of the limits of Quinta dos Murças, we find steep slopes forming a valley. In this location, mostly facing north, more protected from the sun, when the wind passes we hear it whistling.

It is from vineyards like those found there, from plots with unique characteristics, at higher elevations, that the Assobio comes from.

Fruit of the most traditional varieties of the region, our red, white and rosé Whistles, fresh and versatile, are wines with great gastronomic aptitude.

COLOR:

Citrus yellow.

AROMA

Intense and fresh aroma dominated by citrus fruits, tropical fruits and white pulp fruits.
